I honestly don't think Ursa would hit either Zuko or Azula in any way what so ever. That's more of an Ozai thing.

I actually think such a scenario might have been possible. Ursa herself said something was seriously wrong with Azula. She had to discipline her somehow (Even if it was in vain).

It is no wonder Azula didn't care about her mom, but it's not like she never asked for treatment like this!

I don't think Ursa would hit her children. She did not need to hit Azula (a little talk made Azula said what Ozai wanted to do to Zuko).Zuko even did not mention Ozai hitting him either.

Mike: As all the Avatar characters , even Azula has a softer side , though she buried it very deep. As the Beach and Sozin's Comet showed ,she has a lot of unresolved issues with her mother . She really feels that her mother did not love her as much as Zuko , and this drives her crazy , literally.

Bryan: There are truly evil people in the world , but in the case of Azula , her repressed emotions and jealousies corroded her spirit , and made her become that way. It is possible that she could turned out better in a healthier environment, but growing in a royal family of a nation seeking world domination exacerbates her problems . But Zuko and Katara spared her life and who knows she might have a chance to heal. "

Ursa should spank ozai for scaring there son.
